Fit babe tips to avoid the holiday food coma

hey, hey… me again.

Current situation: drinking chai tea and snacking on pretzels. Not just any pretzals, white chocolate peppermint pretzels– O.M.G to die for. TIS THE SEASON FOR PEPPERMINT FLAVORED EVERYTHING & I am all about it.  I am not so much a pumpkin spice kinda gal but when it comes to December and PEPPERMINT everything I am game.

So what else is new? It is monday, aka, my favorite day of the week! It’s just something about a fresh start that I am soooo attracted to and monday is the perfect fresh start every single week!! I love seeing how much I can get done at the end of the week– am I right?!!

I believe it is truly our attitude that determines how much we can get done, how much opportunity will come our way, and how great we will be at whatever we try! Starting my week off with an excited attitude gets me 20 times further than starting it with a crummy attitude, ya feel me?

I don’t have time to waste & being negative is just throwing your time in the garbage. Anyone else who understands this as well– let’s please get together because I already love ya! ❤ 😉

Have you ever met a super successful and motivating person that is a Debbie-downer?? It’s because succesful people know the key to success is looking at their life with optimism and only seeing opportunity.

Also, CHRISTMAS to end off this week ❤

Anyone have exciting plans?!?

It’s going to be all about FAMILY for me. I am happy with lots of carbs in my belly & all my loved ones around me… mmm, a perfect Christmas!

How do I stay balanced eating so much during the holidays? EASY.

I make sure I eat super light during a day where I know I am going to have a huge meal later on.

Breakfast: 1 egg, 1 piece of Dave’s killer bread, 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar with 8 ounces of hot water. Apple cider vinegar helps break down everything. It’s honestly good for SO many other reasons– read this post for more on ACV.

Lunch/snack before a huge meal: Liquid calories are perfect on a day where I am eating a large meal. I like to juice fruits and veggies: 1/2 a beet, 2 carrots, spinach, 1 apple, 1 tbs ginger works for me! I drink it over ice and feel like a million bucks afterwards.

I drink a lot of water & try not to snack much during the day.

Also, a workout before a big meal is never a bad thing, I always try to hit the gym before pigging out so I have a few extra hundred calories to consume without feeling sick… eh-hem, dessert anyone?

This is truly what I will look like while chowing down this holiday– like brother like sis. 😉

But if I can help it, I will make sure I feel good afterwards!

Cheers babes!
