I asked on twitter what you guys want to see next & “tips to stay on track” won. I’m here to deliver (Yayyy!!).
Today I am breaking down 5 SIMPLE tips to keep you accountable to smash your fitness or just overall health goals.
GET INTO A MORNING ROUTINE.
I believe the first thing that happens in the morning sets your whole day up!
Think happy thoughts, drink water, have a healthy breakfast, have some coffee (use my healthy coffee creamer tip) and start your day right.
TRACK YOUR FOOD
Whether it be with an app, writing it down, or anything else this is pretty crucial when starting to understand what your eating. Most of the time we don’t even realize how many macros a certain food has and we just eat it without thinking. TRACKING YOUR FOOD will keep you accountable and you will be much more educated on your diet/goals.
Studies show that people who sleep 7-8 hours per night are in much better shape than those who get 5-6 hours a night. If you aren’t sleeping enough you are missing MAJOR gains!!!! I use Melatonin, lavender essential oils, and keep my phone in the other room all night long to insure I get a princess-like snooze.
CHILL OUT MAN
Studies show that a unhealthy amount of stress can literally give you extra FAT in your abdomen!!!!!!!! (ewwwww!!!!!!) My fave ways to chill the heck out are in a yoga class, hugging my family, hanging out with good friends, drinking tea, watching a good movie, petting a dog, SIMPLE THINGS! Find a way to channel the negative energy and get happy!
I simply wont buy foods that I know are sugary/high calorie because I will eat them! I keep my fridge stocked with good foods. This helps so much because I give myself only healthy options, how can I lose there? MHM!
