IF YOU ARENT FOLLOWING THESE TIPS YOU ARE LOSING GAINS

Goodmorning beaut’s! 🙂

tipspic

I asked on twitter what you guys want to see next & “tips to stay on track” won. I’m here to deliver (Yayyy!!).

Today I am breaking down 5 SIMPLE tips to keep you accountable to smash your fitness or just overall health goals.

STEP 1:

GET INTO A MORNING ROUTINE.

I believe the first thing that happens in the morning sets your whole day up!

Think happy thoughts, drink water, have a healthy breakfast, have some coffee (use my healthy coffee creamer tip) and start your day right.

STEP 2:

TRACK YOUR FOOD

Whether it be with an app, writing it down, or anything else this is pretty crucial when starting to understand what your eating. Most of the time we don’t even realize how many macros a certain food has and we just eat it without thinking. TRACKING YOUR FOOD will keep you accountable and you will be much more educated on your diet/goals.

STEP 3:

SLEEP!

Studies show that people who sleep 7-8 hours per night are in much better shape than those who get 5-6 hours a night. If you aren’t sleeping enough you are missing MAJOR gains!!!! I use Melatonin, lavender essential oils, and keep my phone in the other room all night long to insure I get a princess-like snooze.

STEP 4:

CHILL OUT MAN

Studies show that a unhealthy amount of stress can literally give you extra FAT in your abdomen!!!!!!!! (ewwwww!!!!!!) My fave ways to chill the heck out are in a yoga class, hugging my family, hanging out with good friends, drinking tea, watching a good movie, petting a dog, SIMPLE THINGS! Find a way to channel the negative energy and get happy!

STEP 5:

SNACK SMART!

I simply wont buy foods that I know are sugary/high calorie because I will eat them! I keep my fridge stocked with good foods. This helps so much because I give myself only healthy options, how can I lose there? MHM!

In this video I give you a tour of my fridge and I go more in depth about all these tips!

enjoy,

xx

    Amanda,
As you know, I am not a fitness babe. But your tips apply to all ages, genders, you name it. I just watched your video and it inspired me to share a quick tip. I am a longtime Chobani Greek yogurt fan, and just a few weeks ago, I decided to “cut the cord” on prepackaged yogurt, in order to take charge of the sugar situation in that otherwise healthy food that I try to eat daily. I read somewhere fairly recently that honey is more natural, better for you and metabolizes more healthfully than processed sugar, so I stopped buying the 6-oz. single-serving tubs and, instead, started buying plain, organic, Greek yogurt in 32 oz. tubs, plus fresh strawberries and regular old clover honey in the cute little bear-shaped jars. Then I invested in a handful of 2-cup Zip-Loc plastic containers that are, of course, a bit bigger than the Chobani tubs, but still just as portable. (I like to take a yogurt to work for lunches.) I soon learned that four or five good-sized strawberries almost halfway fill up one of those Zip-Loc containers, so I sliced and chopped me up that many berries, dropped them in the Zip-Loc, added about three teaspoons of honey, just enough to enhance the strawberry flavor but not overpower it with sweetness, then added just about an equal volume of yogurt and stirred. The result? It blew my mind! The fresh fruit is far more prominent but tastes and “mouthfeels” so much better, and in combination with the milder sweetness, it makes the yogurt off-the-rails more delicious than straight-from-the-tub Chobani! Try it and thank me later! To me, it’s like eating a strawberry sundae, but soooo much more healthy! And, yes, OK, it’s true: It is more labor intensive than just opening the fridge, grabbing a Chobani and a spoon, tearing off the lid and eating, but what we’re talking about is, what?, about 3 minutes tops of prep time and cleanup in the kitchen, 2 if you hustle (so, no whining allowed!), and the rewards are just … well, just try it once and you’ll see the difference. It’s now an almost daily part of my routine. Believe me. The difference more than makes up for the hassle, which, by the way, has just become a regular part of my morning ritual now, so it doesn’t even register as extra work.
    Cheers!

Wow!!!!!!!! Your yogurt tip is really amazing. I also imagine that it would be much cheaper as well. Cause the small yogurts get pricey & you’re so right the sugar (processed I’m sure) is very high!! I will definitely be trying you tip. Thank you. xx
